I began dancing at the age of 5, and immediately fell in love. As part of the Pre-Professional Performance Group at Ballet Arts Centre of Winchester, I trained and performed in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, and tap. There, I had the opportunity to perform in a number of pieces choreographed by Lorraine Chapman.
After graduating from high school, I attended Smith College, where I had the opportunity to take ballet classes from Rodger Blum. While at Smith, I also danced with Celebrations Dance Company, a student led group that put on two shows per academic year.
After college, I joined Jazz Inc. Dance under the direction of Stephanie Heroux as a professional dancer in Boston. I am continuing to dance with Jazz Inc. even now as I pursue my PhD, and am always open to new opportunities in the arts.
